Terms of Service

Last updated October 29, 2026.

These terms cover the website builds, hosting plans, and software work provided by Emerald Coast Web Co. in Pensacola, Florida. Prices and inclusions are listed on the Services page.

Quotes and scope

Website builds are quoted at a fixed price after we talk. Software work is quoted per project after a discovery call. A quote lists what is included, and work outside that list is billed separately.

Deposits and payment

A deposit starts the work. The deposit amount for each build is listed on the Services page. The balance is due before the site goes live. Hosting is billed monthly, or yearly if you prepay, and yearly prepay covers twelve months.

Revisions

Every build includes one round of revisions. I present the first full version, you send one set of changes, and I make them. Further changes are billed by the hour at my current rate, quoted before I start.

Ownership

You own your domain, the content you provide, and the finished website. I keep the right to reuse general code, layouts, and techniques across projects, and to show the finished work in my portfolio unless you ask me not to.

Hosting and cancellation

You can cancel hosting at any time, and it ends at the close of the billing period you have paid for. On request I will export your site and hand over the files and access. Your domain stays in your name.

Refunds

Deposits are not refundable once work has started. Hosting fees already paid for a period are not refunded, but you keep service through the end of that period.

Third-party services

Websites may rely on third-party services such as a domain registrar, a payment processor, or an email provider. Those services have their own terms, and I am not responsible for outages or changes on their side.

Limitation of liability

I provide the work with reasonable care. My total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Questions go to hello@emeraldcoastwebco.com.
